Jörg Esser has on his blog einpraegsam.de started an experiment, he presents two images available for you to edit as they see fit and then returned to the author.

I've also edited the pictures, of course with Lightroom. Below you can see the result. There are unfortunately only jpg images, so you do not have too much leeway. I'm not a big expert on this subject, but I'm not a fan of extreme modifications, which I usually look too artificial. So I here only the most important thing I did.

I find this a very good idea and you can learn as much as intended.

	The original is too dark to me, so I lightened it a bit and a blue sky more saturation added. The red object was weggestempelt bottom left and a little sharpness to it, where the grain is better than before.
	Here I also lightened the whole bit, moved into the white balance and saturation in some warmer colors (green, blue) is lifted. Moreover, this was still a slight vignette.

Bike Tour to Fennberg

First Mountain Bike Tour 2011 to Fennberg
27.6 km, 1000 Hm, 3 hours

end of hibernation for my mountain bike! By the spring-like temperatures, the Bikesaisson start in 2011 a little earlier. The first tour leads me, as so often, for Fennberg, where today the inn has the church after a long break and with new tenants finally reopened. I probably the very first coffee of the new machine :-) enjoyed

Normally I am going to go over the old path after Margreid Fenner, which is much cooler. But today it was closed due to landslides. So I'm back on the access road back, .. Well, almost.

walk through to spring valley lake Montiggler
10.5 Km, 400 Hm, 2:45 St.

extends the spring valley in the Cold Lake, the Montiggler lakes. It is well protected on all sides and therefore has a very mild climate. The first flowers, snowdrops and anemones bloom here at the end of February and in March a viebesuchtes hiking destination.
This route goes from Cold to the lawn, free of the spring valley to the Motiggler Lakes and from there back to cold. A simple and rewarding hike for the whole family.

The first winter tour of the fire with a short winter walk
12 km, 700 Hm

We walk from parking in Pfelders (1600 m) almost flat until Lazins yard (1782 m) and after lunch back to Pfelders. Then next to the toboggan run up to the traditional green floor hut (2000m) and descent by toboggan. Of course we stop also in Ski Pub. More photos here .

The great Mendel round

circular walk from cold to Mendel and back
16 km, 1200 Hm, 5 hours

We start of St. Anton / Pozzo in Kaltern (500 m) and get the fastest way to Mendel, Mendel the old gate. This is slightly north of the railway and Mendel is already totally snow and ice. Twice we cross the Mendel Pass road and come to a good 1.5 hours Mendel Pass (1370 m). Now on the icy road No. 500 in the past called Enzianhütte (Genzianella) and Halbweghütte (1580 m) to the Lavinaspitze (1650 m), Monte lira. From Mendel Pass to here it is about 1 hour. And here we have a great view of Bolzano up to Neumarkt (see panorama), I could sit here for hours in the sun and enjoy the panorama, but I must still return to cold. For

the descent, we take the route No. 538, the so-called Prozoller gate. This is even steeper than the climb Mendel in the rise and bring us back to the sports facilities and through the woods to St. Anton.

That used to be my Trainigsrunde (I have many years in Kaltern usual), but by then I had other, shorter lap times in memory. Whether that is located on the icy road ... or in the 15 years that have passed are :-(?

Fennerjoch - Corno di Tres - Graun

13.7 km, 890 Hm, about 6 hours

From Oberfennberg (1200 m) to the Fennerjoch (1608 m), then it goes up and down in the north to the Corno di Tres (1802 m), the saddle (1748 m) and the battalion head (1670 m). When Barabara Bildstöckl right branches off the Barabarasteig, this leads us through Schönleitental (really nice!) Leger and on to the bear after Graun Hefele.

The snow shoes, we did have it, but only briefly in use. There were many icy spots especially on the descent. The temperature is very pleasant for this time of year, almost springlike.
