have today have to work the eight cores from my Dell Latitude for the first time a bit, when you convert an HD video.
Well, actually there are 4 cores (quad core i7), with Hyper-Threading, it will be eight virtual cores.
Normally, only one, maximum two. So a dual core CPU's sufficient for any office, development, surfing, etc activities. For video editing, and possibly for photo and audio editing, it takes such a calculating monster.
but ... you only treat anything.
